No Bread!!!!

Well... this week went to the dogs! Literally.

Work kind of took over (week 1, I know, it doesn't bode well for how faithful I'm going to be at this!)

But....... I did manage to sneak in a little puppy treat making, so it wasn't a complete loss!

These little bad boys are super easy! So, make sure to spoil your furry best friend(s) soon!

1 c rice flour
1 c oat flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c pumkin puree
1 egg
1/3 c water

Mix all the ingredients together to form a dough.  Bake at 350 degF for 20-25 minutes.
These treats will not 'fall' like cookies even though the dough seems very soft.  So, that's why mine look like little asteroids! I used two spoons to scoop out a 'ball' like when making cookies because otherwise it was all sticking to my hands.

And of course, I don't reccommend it (with the raw egg and all), but maybe let the kids lick the spoons :)

Carbs are the new pink.

Well, it's that time for New Years resolutions and I'm going to revive one.

Learn to bake: bread.

Yes, kids, I am going to treat you to a weekly summary of my attempt to master the art of baking bread.

And if you want to know exactly how I feel about it, this picture says all the thousand words found under "what-was-I-thinking" in the thesaurus.

Here's to a few more days of studying The Bread Bible before attempt #1.

Day 24: The eve of new beginnings

Well, we made it! A whole advent calendar of puppies and Christmas!

We had some crazy times - I mean the holiday almost got hijacked!!!!

I may not be the Grinch with my heart growing two sizes, but I did make one huge decision this year.  I'll participate in Christmas.  It may not be the Christmas of garland, tinsel or presents, but we are going to celebrate our own traditions.

I have my family (puppies but they're my family), my friends and the memories we all share together.

Today we started our own traditions.

Merry Christmas: may your holiday be filled with fur, friends and fun.

All our love,

Jip, Lo, and Ken

Day 23: Christmas always comes once a year

A video message arrived at the Woof.B.I headquarters...

Stella:  "Your days are numbered Woof! You may have your presents and cheer this year, but mark my word - under my reign we will stuff your stockings if it's the last thing I do!"

....................................................................................................until next December...... cue the spy song.

Day 22: More naughty than nice...

Zoe: "Agent Noodle full report? I've got the bubbly ready..."

Macaroni: "Um, Reindeer Games, ma'am... my position has been compromised...

I'm festively being held prisoner!"

Zoe: "..and what of Bumble?!"
Macaroni: "The carnage is unspeakable ma'am.  We'll just say... there's snow on the tree now, soft, fluffy stuffing snow."

The Woof.B.I's official stance:
Christmas is saved and the only thing you get for scheming is a big pile of coal to heat your jail cell.

During the press conference...a delivery man walks up to the main doors of the Woof.B.I...

Day 21: Here comes, Santa Claus?

And now... for the epic conclusion to our previously started then interrupted then postponed Christmas program...

With Kenzie held prisoner by the gingers, Bumble knew he had to finish the mission her started...

Bumble channeled his inner Catherine Zeta-Jones to get past the high security laser system

And then it was on to the Package

....and just when he thought the coast was clear.....

The Woof.B.I snatched the prisoner and foiled his plots again!

But wait, where is Agent Noodle? And the leader of Reindeer Games? What will the dawn of another day bring....

..to be continued...

Day 20: Silent Night

All work and no play... make for tired puppies!

We're in the home stretch, take a power nap and then back to festivities!
